R&A Soccer provides professional coaching to clubs and teams all season long. Currently, we coach the Berkhamsted Raiders U7s, which consist of 50 boys spread across 7 squads. In addition, we also coach some individual older teams. Our focus throughout the season is to help children master the ball and become comfortable in possession.

Our sessions are structured as follows:

• Ball Mastery

• Fun catching game

• Technical practice

• Opposed practice 1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v2 & 3v3

• Match play

 

Throughout the season we cover a wide range of topics, including first touch & control, passing & possession, dribbling, running with the ball, attacking, defending, shooting and finishing, ball mastery, positional play and team shape for older age groups.

 

By focusing on these areas, we aim to develop well rounded, skilled young players who enjoy the game and play with confidence.
